Tom,
Looking forward to hearing "American Son." Can you recommend a home guitar instruction course for acoustic lead guitar. Hearing you play the other night has inspired me to try to take my guitar playing to the next level. Thanks again.

Message from Tom:
Sorry Dave,
I don't know of any kind of instruction course. I never could follow instructions :)

Tom,
It was really great meeting you and Bill @ Border's last night in Columbus, OH. Your singing and playing were fantastic. Thanks for coming out here and sharing your music with us. Hope to see you and Hard Rain in the future. By the way, "Two Tone Chevrolet" sounds great, and I just ordered "Happy Hour" and "Guitar & Pen II" from your web site. Can't wait to hear em. Again, I really enjoyed you guys last night. Thanks again and best of luck with everything.

Message from Tom:
Thanks for coming out on Friday, Dave. We had a nice trip to Ohio. Hopefully we'll see you out there with the whole band sometime soon. Unfortunately, both Guitar and Pen records are sold out, but I'll substitute American Son for you. It is still one of my favorite works. I hope that's ok.

John Lennon was shot 25 years ago today. Of all the icons lost before their time, Lennon's death, to me, is still the saddest. The first person stalked and killed just because he was a well known celebrity. I still think of my friend/bandmate Jeff and his initial reaction, "Who would shoot a Beatle?"

Tom -

My son Wilson and I saw you at Starbucks in Squirrel Hill last night and were both totally blown away by your music! I have read about you for years but never had an opportunity to pick up a disc or to see you perform live - boy am I kicking myself this morning!

Needless to say, Wil and I have added all of your discs to our Christmas list and will be trying to make more of your live shows.

Your lyrics are incredibly powerful and touched me on many levels. My son has been raised on local music like the Houserockers and Hard Rain, so I was a bit embarrassed when he asked me last night "Dad, why didn't you ever tell me about this guy before?" Rest assured, I’ll be telling a lot more people about you and your music! It was fantastic!

Message from Tom:
Hi Keith,
It was a pleasure to meet you and your son Wil last night. Thanks for the kind remarks. I'll have a new record out in the spring so you'll have plenty of opportunities to check out another show in '06. By the way, don't be embarrassed; it takes a long time for any artist to build an identity. I'm still workin' on it. Bless Bill for all of the help and support he has given me.
Your new friend,
Tom

Hi Tom...how are ya? We met at the 911 benefit years ago at the Capitol when I was playing with The Brett Cain Band..Your stuff sounds great! I'm hoping to make it to the burgh sometime soon to see you live. Take care. Jason

Message from Tom:
Hey Jason,
Good to hear from you. I enjoyed the Brett Cain set that night. If you can't make it up here we should be scheduling some things in the Ohio Valley this summer.
Take Care,
Tom

Tom,
Enjoy your debut this weekend at The Stone Pony. What a line up! Sorry that I won't be there to see it, but, as with all shows that I miss, I will be there in spirit! I can't wait to see the pictures and hear the stories. Congratulations.

Hey Tom!

Really enjoyed getting to hear American Son perform at the CD release party for West End Kid. I was pleasantly surprised by the live sound of your band! I have been listening to your disc's and have seen you perform solo, but the whole band was a real treat for me. Especially enjoyed Stock Car King - it was better than on the CD if you can believe that could happen! I also like the way your drummer uses the cymbols. It is refreshingly different.

Keep doing what you do - I appreciate it very much!

Message from Tom:
Thanks, Allison. We'll be out and about before you know it. Looking forward to seeing you and Brian this weekend at LOD.
