Congratulations to the kids from WVU on their inspired Fiesta Bowl Championship. Those were real tears of joy on the sideline and I'm sure it was some consolation after being lead (mislead?) by a coach who abandoned them. It's a great day to be a Mountaineer...

Tom,
I know where Shenandoah Elementary School is in Penn Hills. It's very close to my parents' house.
We lived in a different house when I was growing up so I went to Wm. Penn Elementary School.
I can give you directions if you need them.

Hey Tom,
I don't want to say I was "moved" but after listening to Clothes My Father Wore this morning I called my Dad (who was not a coal miner, but HIS dad was).

Hi Tom,
Just having a chance to settle in and give the new CD a listen. I confess I listened before reading the 'booklet of historical content' and really enjoyed the stories told in each track BUT after reading the booklet, I understood where all of the passion came from. (Sure would like you to craft my audio biography some day!) Thanks again for penning and performing something of substance a listener can sink their ears & imagination into.
All the best to you and yours during the holidays,
Allison

Tom,
Thanks so much for asking and then actually getting me on stage to play the jingle bells during your Christmas song at the Leaf & Bean on Saturday. With alot of help from Andrea and Jill, (l,2,3 l,2,3) I got the hang of it.
It's alot easier clapping my hands and tapping my feet sitting in the audience.
I love live music shows!

Hey Tom - just wanted to drop you a quick note to say it was good to see you playing at the Leaf and Bean again on Saturday. I've had a chance now to listen to the two new (well, new to us) CDs we picked up - Happy Hour At THe Round Hotel and Guitar and Pen II, and they are both great. I spent a little time in a studio working on a song today and I couldn't help but think back to some of what I heard - suffice it to say I'm a little jealous of the songwriting and musicianship - great stuff!

hey Tom,
Hope you and the entire state has recovered from the loss.
Will next Friday's show feature other performers. Just curious. I'd love to hear those songs again to take them in. Congrats on everything. It seems like you're "starting to turn a few heads" again.

Hey Everyone,
It's been a while since I posted and I have a few folks to mention. The NERFA conference was once again a great experience. Big thanks to Ron Olesko, producer and host of "Traditions" WFDU, Teaneck, NJ. He invited me to showcase in front of lots of DJ's and it went really well. Looks like three new stations in New York, one in Chicago, and XM Channel 15 The Village will be playing The Unbroken Circle. Log on to Ron's Blog to check out his notes on my performance and the entire NERFA weekend.

I will also be hosting a three part folk series from April thru June in '08 to bring some of these fine folk artists to Pittsburgh. Stay posted for the venue and I hope you will support this venture.
CD orders are still pouring in on the web site. I'm launching a publicity campaign on the first of the year which will be followed by an "official" release date and digital distribution to complement the avenues of distribution already in place.
Thanks to Bill and Joyce Toms for their hard work putting together the Relief International Benefit at Cefalo's. It was a great success and a great night of music.
Thanks also to Carol Lee Espy for having me on her show, KDKA's Lifelounge, tonight. No radio host has made me feel more comfortable.
Thanks again to all of you for your continued support. As always...it's time to roll...
Your friend,
Tom
