Andrew Russell filmed this footage while Rege Behe from the Pittsburgh Tribune Review accompanied Tom to Logan County, WV, a four hour drive from Pittsburgh, to road-test the songs from his CD "The Unbroken Circle: Songs of the West Virginia Coalfields." Logan County is where Tom did much of his research for the album. In this video, Tom shares some of the tunes with a few of the folks there who had helped him with that research.

This video was shot by John Fluharty on West Virginia Music Hall of Fame night at the Vineyard Cafe in Wheeling, WV. It was filmed in the weeks that followed the blast at Massey Energy's Upper Big Branch Mine in Montcoal, WV, which killed 29 miners.
